NEW START/FINISH LOCATION  AT RIVER PARK FOR 2025

We'll return to run the Riverwalk Greenway and the Historic Occoneechee Speedway Trail, but the start and finish will be at River Park in downtown Hillsborough. Registration will take place in the park's  Farmer's Market Pavilion, and the 8k will begin by first heading out to the Speedway oval, then returning to River Park before  doing an out and back to a turnaround in Gold Park. In other words, it is the same course as the last two years, but starting and ending in the middle of it.

Parking:  There are spots available near the Farmers' Market Pavilion, and the public lots in the Courthouse area will be available on the holiday.  You can also park in the Hillsborough Public Parking Garage next to Weaver St. Market.  Please do not park in the private surface lot across from the Weaver St. Market storefront.

It helps greatly with bib assignment to have signup data in advance, so please use this pre-registration form if you think you might participate in the NYD 8k.

The check-in desk opens at 12:00 noon. The race starts promptly at 1:00 p.m. We cannot accept cash in River Park, but there will options for online payment before and after the event.  We typically get a large turnout for this holiday run, so allow plenty of time to complete registration.
